UPS Freight Forwarding services in Haiti may be affected due to civil conflict in the country. The following outlines anticipated impacts to our Air and Ocean services due to circumstances outside of UPS’s control.
Due to this situation, UPS operations are currently shut down and will not resume until it is safe to operate. Shippers may incur additional expenses and service delays for current and future shipments.

Summary: Ocean Service impacted on US East Coast
UPS Ocean Freight Forwarding services along the US East Coast may be impacted due to a collapsed bridge in Baltimore’s harbor. The Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed early Tuesday morning after being struck by a cargo ship.
Ocean container vessels with Baltimore as a port of call may be rerouted to alternative ports. Congestion and delays should be expected throughout the US East Coast, including at Norfolk and New York/New Jersey. Due to this situation, additional expenses and service delays may be incurred for current and future shipments.

Summary: Service impacted for all international air freight from India
Please be advised of service disruptions for all international air freight originating from India. In light of the ongoing challenges in the Red Sea and the Lunar New Year holiday, many airlines operating out of India are only accepting cargo on a limited expedited basis. As a result of these circumstances that are out of our control, air freight rates and services from India will be affected.
Due to this situation, your pricing may be impacted, and UPS is suspending all outstanding rate proposals for shipments originating from India. Customers interested in shipping from India will need to secure new rates to align with the current market dynamics. For support booking a shipment from India, customers can obtain quotes and book directly on the UPS® Forwarding Hub or by contacting a UPS Account Representative.

Summary: Service Disruption in the Red Sea and Suez Canal
Please be advised of disruption in the Red Sea and Suez Canal that is currently impacting global Ocean Freight service.
In recent weeks, merchant ships entering the Red Sea with plans to cross the Suez Canal have been targeted by armed militant groups. To ensure the safety of operating crew, vessels and customer cargo, many carriers are adjusting their routes to avoid the Suez Canal.
Vessels are now routing around the Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of Africa. This new routing significantly increases nautical miles traveled, leading to unforeseen increased costs and times in transit. On average, shippers can expect 7-10 additional days per voyage compared to Suez Canal routing.
